Eating jackfruit before a drive can result in you failing a breathalyzer test

Eating JACKFRUIT resulted in the arrest of three Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) drivers on duty. 

In a bizarre incident, three KSRTC bus drivers in Kerala failed their breathalyzer tests. But here's the twist - they hadn't consumed a drop of alcohol.

Their only 'crime'? Eating jackfruit!

Yes, the tropical fruit contains natural compounds that ferment quickly, releasing trace amounts of alcohol.

The breathalyzer flagged them as drunk, even though they were completely sober. 

The drivers were reportedly arrested, too. 

Another driver who was tested negative earlier was made to eat jackfruit and the breathalyzer test was carried out on him after some time. He too was tested drunk. 

Now, officials are reviewing testing protocols to avoid future fruity confusion.

Jackfruit isn't banned yet ... but every Indian Roadie member/ follower should avoid it before duty or before a drive/ ride.
