PM Cares fund allocated for setting up 2 x 250 bedded Covid hospitals in Murshidabad and Kalyani

Establishment of two 250 bedded makeshift COVID Hospitals at Murshidabad and Kalyani in West Bengal through PM CARES.

The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund Trust has decided to allocate Rs. 41.62 crores for establishment of two 250 bedded makeshift COVID Hospitals by DRDO at Murshidabad and Kalyani, West Bengal. For this, certain infrastructural support would also be provided by the State Government and MoHFW, Govt. of India.  
 
This proposal will augment health infrastructure in West Bengal to effectively manage the COVID situation.
 
The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund Trust had, in its endeavor to support the augmentation of health infrastructure, helped establish COVID Hospitals in Bihar, Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar also.

Free Covid-19 vaccines for all above 18 yrs of age wef 2021-06-21

All 18+ Indians in India will get COVID-19 vaccines for free at government run Covid Vaccination Centers (CVC) w.e.f 2021-06-21. 

The BJP government in New Delhi will procure 75% of all vaccines produced in India and distribute those for free to state governments. 

25% of production can be procured at a price by private CVCs directly from the manufacturers and administered to beneficiaries at procurement cost + GST + ₹150 as service charge. 
This was announced by PM Narendra Modi during his address to the nation on 2021-06-07 at 5.00 pm.

বয়স ২৫ বছর । চুল কাটার পর একটু ঘাড়-পিঠ মালিশ করে নেয় ৫-১০ মিনিট। বিনিময়ে তাকে কিছু বকশিশ দেয়। একদিন ঘাড় মালিশ করার সময় কট করে একটা আওয়াজ হয়, একটু সামান্য ব্যথাও করে উঠেছিল। কিন্তু ছেলেটি অতটা গ্রাহ্য করেনি। দু-এক দিন পর সে ঘাড়ে ব্যথা অনুভব করতে লাগল। ক্রমে ব্যথা বাড়ছে। মা ভাবলেন, হয়তো উল্টাপাল্টাভাবে শোয়ার জন্য ঘাড়ে ব্যথা হয়েছে। মা প্রতিদিন ঘাড়ে গরম সেঁক দিতে শুরু করলেন। কিন্তু কিছুতেই ব্যথা কমছে না; বরং দিনদিন বাড়ছেই। একপর্যায়ে ব্যথা হাতের মধ্য আঙ্গুল পর্যন্ত আসতে শুরু করল। ব্যথার জন্য ঘাড় নাড়ানোও তার জন্য কষ্টকর হয়ে উঠল। শেষ পর্য়ন্ত চিকিৎসকের শরণাপন্ন হলে, চিকিৎসক পরীক্ষা করে বললেন, সারভাইক্যাল ডিস্ক প্রলেপস হয়েছে ।

ঘাড়ের এম আর আই (MRI) ও নার্ভ কনডাকশন স্টাডি পরীক্ষা করে সেটি প্রমাণিত হলো। মেরুদণ্ডের দু্টি হাড়ের মাঝে এক ধরনের ডিস্ক থাকে সেখান থেকে স্মায়ুগুলো বের হয়ে এসে আমাদের হাতে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। যখন কোন কারণে ওই ডিস্ক সরে যেয়ে স্মায়ুর উপর চাপ দেয় তখন ব্যথা ঘাড় থেকে হাতের দিকে আসে এটাকে সারভাইক্যাল ইন্টারভার্টিব্রাল ডিস্ক প্রলেপস বলে ।
এক্ষেত্রে চিকিৎসা হল ঔষধের পাশাপাশি সম্পূর্ণ বিশ্রাম অর্থাৎ হাটাচলা বা মুভমেন্ট করা যাবে না, এমন অবস্থায় ফিজিক্যাল মেডিসিন বিভাগের ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী চলতে হবে। এক্ষেত্রে রোগীর অবস্থা অনুযায়ী ২-৪ সপ্তাহ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি থেকে দিনে ২-৩ বার ফিজিওথেরাপি চিকিৎসা নিতে হয়। এটাতে অবস্থার উন্নতি না হলে অপারেশনও লাগতে পারে।
আলোচ্য বালকটির এই সমস্যাটি কেন হলো ? খোঁজ নিয়ে জানা গেল, নরসুন্দর ঘাড়- পিঠ মালিশ করে বিভিন্ন ভঙ্গিমায়ে কোন কোন সময় মাথার ওপর চাপ দেয়, কখনো ঘাড় বাঁ দিকে ও ডান দিকে কাত করে। এসব মালিশ ঘাড়ের জন্য খুবই ক্ষতিকর। এতে ঘাড়ের স্মায়ুতে চাপ পড়ার আশঙ্কা থাকে।
পরামর্শঃ
* সেলুনে গিয়ে কখনো ঘাড় বা মাথা মালিশ করাবেন না।
* ঘাড় কখনো খুব বেশি পেছনে বা পাশে কাত করতে দেবেন না। এতে হঠাৎ করে সারভাইক্যাল ডিস্ক প্রলেপস হয়ে যেতে পারে৷
